The National Strategic Plan for Tobacco Control 2015-2020 aims to make Malaysia free from the smoking habit by 2045 through the elimination of passive smoking in public areas.

To reach that goal, numerous campaigns and efforts have been put in place by the Selangor Health Department (Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri Selangor) in line with the Selangor Bebas Asap Rokok policy.

They include:

Distribution of pamphlets, public service announcements on radio, talk shows and Seminar Fatwa Rokok Haram will be organised to raise awareness on the dangers of smoking.

2. Enforcement
Enforcement is carried out periodically by the department to ensure that the no-smoking regulations are followed.
